Microsoft recently named Claranet as a finalist for Microsoft’s UK Partner of the Year Award. Awards were classified in several categories, with honorees chosen from more than 3,900 submitted nominations and more than 126 countries / regions worldwide.
This is the first year Claranet has been named as a finalist for Microsoft’s UK Partner of the Year Award. Through many customer engagements, we have demonstrated our ability to deliver constant innovation and business value to our clients, by leveraging the capabilities of the Microsoft Cloud. Furthermore, we continue to help customers move to secure hybrid ways of working through our Modern Workplace portfolio of services, and increased security monitoring in Azure using Managed Detection and Response for Microsoft Sentinel, launched earlier this year.
For construction company Kier, our team helped them move out of private cloud to public, to get access to more cloud services to drive the digital ambition of the business. 1400 VMs (Virtual Machines) were assessed for migration, with 600 decommissioned before the move. 640 VMs and 135 applications are now on the AVS (Azure VMWare Solution) platform with minimal downtime and zero business disruption.
For a global specialist in manufacturing, transformation, and distribution of high-performance materials for various industrial markets, Claranet provided global security remediation of all workloads and assets. Moved 500 VMs from their incumbent to Claranet's Cloud Platform before moving value-add workloads and assets to Azure.
We helped a leading global Insurance Group move away from a fixed cost-base caused by multiple data centres and legacy support contracts; providing modernisation services and harden security to providing business enablement. Migrated 100+ applications, 1700 VM’s into Microsoft Azure and modernised SQL server workloads to PaaS (Platform as a Service).
A provider of engineering and construction services asked Claranet to help them exit a global data centre, transforming all applications excluding the infrastructure. Migrated native services like PaaS, managed instances, and native cloud applications to Azure.
We are pleased to be named as a finalist for this prestigious award,” said Mark Turner, Director of Cloud Business at Claranet. “The recognition is a testament to our ongoing relationship with Microsoft — helping clients modernise their business by delivering cloud services across the entire lifecycle, finding new ways to create value for them. We look forward to our continued success working with Microsoft.”
