Claranet, one of Europe's premier providers of business communications solutions, has appointed Bert Bekker as Commercial Director of Claranet Benelux. Based in Eindhoven, Bekker will be responsible for all sales activities in the Netherlands and Belgium.
Bekker comes to Claranet with extensive sales management experience from the IT industry. He is one of the founders of aSource Global, a company specialising in offshore outsourcing. Prior to that, he was Country Manager for the Netherlands at Satyam, an Indian systems integrator. Earlier in his career, Bekker was responsible for indirect sales at Getronics, and served as an account manager at the computer vendor Bull.
Reflecting on his new challenge, Bekker comments:

It is now time for growth in the higher-value segment of the business market. That implies that relationships and partnerships with the client become even more important than in the past.
