Business broadband is a dedicated internet connection built for commercial premises, rather than the residential broadband used at home. Claranet's Business Broadband service delivers business-grade connectivity — from Superfast SOGEA and FTTC through to Ultrafast FTTP with speeds up to 1000 Mbit/s — backed by built-in DDoS protection, a single static IP, and an expert UK service desk with defined response and resolution times. It's designed to keep your business online, whatever your premises and however many of them you have.

Superfast SOGEA (FTTC) is a solid choice where full fibre isn't yet available, or where your bandwidth needs are moderate. Ultrafast FTTP is the better fit once you need higher, guaranteed speeds or run bandwidth-heavy applications — alt-net full-fibre connectivity is worth understanding here too, as an increasing part of the UK's fibre landscape. For organisations with higher bandwidth, performance or resilience requirements — for example, guaranteed uncontended bandwidth, tighter uptime SLAs, or connecting multiple sites into one resilient network — Ethernet connectivity or a managed WAN may be more suitable. No — Claranet's broadband service does not require an analogue voice circuit. If you need business telephony, Claranet's Hosted VoIP service can be implemented alongside your broadband connection.

FTTC (Fibre-to-the-Cabinet) — delivered via Claranet's Superfast SOGEA service — carries your connection over fibre to a local street cabinet and then over existing copper for the final stretch to your premises, with speeds of 40/10 or 80/20 Mbit/s. FTTP (Fibre-to-the-Premises) — Claranet's Superfast and Ultrafast FTTP services — runs pure fibre all the way to your building, supporting higher, guaranteed speeds up to 1000/115 Mbit/s.
