Claranet Germany: Change of leadership - Sebastian Vögel takes over from Olaf Fischer

On 1 April 2025, Olaf Fischer will hand over operational responsibility for Claranet Germany to Sebastian Vögel after 25 years of successful management. This change marks an important milestone in the company's history and is part of a long-term succession plan to ensure Claranet's sustainable growth and innovative strength.

Background and handover

Olaf Fischer will remain closely associated with Claranet as a non-executive director until the end of September 2025 and will continue to support the company with his experience and strategic foresight. He founded Claranet in Germany 25 years ago, laying the foundations for the company's development into a leading provider of managed services and cloud solutions. Under his leadership, Claranet has successfully established itself in Germany and continued to develop.

The new Managing Director

Sebastian Vögel, previously Managing Director of Claranet Addon and Claranet Switzerland, will now also take over as Managing Director of Claranet Germany on 1 April 2025. The graduate computer scientist and experienced managing director brings extensive expertise in the future-oriented development of national and international companies in the IT and telecommunications industry. With a particular focus on lean management methods and agile corporate management, he has successfully led numerous companies through digital transformations. Thanks to this experience, Sebastian Vögel is ideally equipped to continue the successful work of Olaf Fischer and keep Claranet on course for growth in both countries.

Future outlook and strategy

Under the new management, Claranet will expand its business in Germany and Switzerland in future-oriented areas such as Cloud, SAP, Cyber Security, Data and AI as well as Modern Workplace. The focus will be on sustainable growth - both through organic development and strategic acquisitions. In addition, the use of artificial intelligence and automation will be further advanced in order to promote innovation and strengthen competitiveness.
