Claranet introduces AI Seeker, its new generative AI solution to optimise information search

Finding information is a major challenge for companies and employees who have to juggle between different tools and communication channels such as email, Slack, Teams, Confluence and Sharepoint. Time and productivity are lost in the process. The loss is estimated at almost an hour per day per employee. As an expert in digital transformation in the cloud, Claranet is now presenting its new solution for generative artificial intelligence (AI): AI Seeker. Thanks to this innovation, employees can receive relevant answers to their questions almost immediately, making it much easier to search for information within the company.

To solve this problem, AI Seeker uses so-called Large Language Models (LLM), coupled with the concept of "Retrieval Augmented Generation" (RAG) to optimise and better control text output. The concept is based on intelligent models to process data more efficiently and provide comprehensible texts.

This solution structures and classifies a company's documents in a special database so that the artificial intelligence can focus on the content that is relevant to the company. AI Seeker analyses and understands the meaning of words and sentences and links users' questions to the most relevant documents. Intelligent models are then used to create and output clear and precise answers based on the most relevant documents identified.

After an initial internal feasibility study aimed at testing and evaluating the increase in document search productivity, Claranet is now assisting its customers with new applications in numerous areas:

  • Insurance: Assistance tool for policyholders to obtain information about the scope of cover of their insurance contract. This enables insured persons to independently clarify personalised questions about their insurance cover or contract based on the reference documents.
  • Notarial and legal activities: Support in the search for file-specific information and contextualisation of answers by summarising several legal, administrative documents.
  • E-commerce: Availability of an interactive FAQ list that can be used by customers and employees. The answers are contextualised according to the user and adapt dynamically when documents are added.
  • Engineering and consulting: Use of previous answers to provide even more relevant answers.

Key features of the solution:

  • Multi-source connectivity: The solution seamlessly connects to various sources and tools and ensures smooth integration into the existing ecosystem.
  • Multilingualism: The solution supports documents in multiple languages, enabling efficient information search for international organisations. The answers can also be adapted to the user's local language.
  • Integration into various internal tools: AI Seeker can be integrated into tools such as Slack and Teams or has its own dialogue interface, which enables centralised and simplified information searches.
  • Continuous learning: The tool relies on user feedback to improve information feedback and the relevance of answers.

From now on, Claranet will support its customers in the implementation of this solution in their own environment. This use case is the starting point for a smoother introduction of AI in a personalised context.
