Claranet placed in two Gartner Magic Quadrants in 2017

A leader in the Gartner Magic Quadrant

Claranet has once again been recognised as a leader in Gartner’s Magic Quadrant for Managed Hybrid Cloud Hosting, Europe 2017, for a fifth consecutive year.

But there is more: this year we are also placed in Gartner’s inaugural Magic Quadrant for Public Cloud Infrastructure Managed Service Providers, Worldwide.

We see hybrid IT as a key differentiator for us and have, over the past two years, invested heavily in our public cloud capabilities to ensure that we can offer a complete range of hosted services. Applications and data are what matters to organisations, and at Claranet we believe that availability, security and performance are the essential elements in ensuring effective application delivery. These requirements vary from application to application, and getting the right infrastructure services in place for each application environment is key."

What is the Magic Quadrant?

Gartner’s Magic Quadrant is a widely respected market analysis tool, which reviews and assesses different vendors in the technology marketplace, and aims to provide businesses with an evaluation of a vendor’s strengths and capabilities. Claranet improves its position as a ‘leader’ in Gartner's Magic Quadrant for the fourth year in a row.

What does being a ‘leader’ say about Claranet?

Claranet is positioned as a Leader within the Magic Quadrant, which means that we have been recognised for our completeness of vision, along with our ability to execute that vision. Our vision and strategy continues to focus on our customers – on understanding their business needs and goals, and working with them to anticipate future requirements.

As stated by Gartner, a leader in the Magic Quadrant also meets the following criteria:

  • Staying power in the market
  • Innovates on existing products
  • Fulfils enterprise needs

IT departments are a key strategic asset to business, and need to focus on innovation and adding value; something that they will struggle to do without the right suppliers supporting them. Businesses who have their application and infrastructure services optimised are able to act faster and be more effective. When this happens, organisations become more agile, efficient and innovative."
